HP 15 NOTEBOOK PC K1W67EA#ABU

Hello,

I recently bought an Ex-Display HP laptop from my local sainsburys however I tried to install something onto it and its asking for an Admin Password.

I went back into the sainsburys I bought it from and the 2 potential passwords they gave me didn't work. Is there a way round this?

Hello @Ashleytscott,

Is it a BIOS password or WINDOWS login Password. !!

If its BIOS then  ,At the password screen, hit enter 3 times and you should receive a 'halt code' - post back with this code.

Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again !!

Hi,

It appears to be a user password.

The computer loads up ok. and I can get on the internet etc, I just can click on the Users and Click Admin. Just cant log in?

Will a Factory Restore work as I have not installed anything on it yet?

Thanks

Hello @Ashleytscott,

Thank you for your reply !!

Yes !! You are right !

You will have to perform Factory Reset to recreate your own ADMIN account.

Please try F11 for System Recovery.
