Product: HP Pavilion dv2500 Notebook PC.
OS: Windows 7 32 bit.

I experience blue screens on my notebook. Someone on the forum suggested me to update to latest BIOS. I need help regarding how can I update to the latest BIOS.

Posted using my hand held device, excuse brevity and typos.

Hi,

It's a CTO machine. Please use the following link and select the right model to download the latest BIOS:

   http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?locale=en_us&taskId=135&prodSeriesI...

Please note: upgrading BIOS can be very tricky and can brick your machine.

Regards.

Hi:

If you flash the BIOS running Windows 7, you will almost certainly brick your notebook.

I do not know of anyone who has sucessfully flashed the BIOS in any dv2000/6000/9000 model with windows 7 installed.

If you read the information on the BIOS download, you will see the supported operating systems you can run the bios update on.

You will notice that W7 is not supported.

I just hope I was not too late in posting this.
