Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

I read your post about Broadcom WiFi in Win10 and wanted to help.

According to the Maintenance and Service Guide for your PC the Broadcom WLan module is a BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n -- so I have no idea why your PC is claiming it is only "g".

Perhaps you're running an old driver, so you should go to this link and download the first Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver and install it:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-15-ae000-Notebook-PC-%28Touch%29/7777351/mod...

Good Luck
