So I would like to upgrade my EliteBook 8570w. It was a school issued laptop that I have the option of keeping or "upgrading" next year to the Zbook. I have seen the Zbook that we will get and quite frankly it's a down grade from what I have now. With that being said I am going to opt to keep my current laptop, which means it's mine to do what I want with.
Since my laptop is a base model it has 4GB of RAM, i5 3320M Dual Core, and the AMD M4000 GPU.
I would like to get the following parts and install them myself:
Will I be able to add these parts with the stock system board?
Thanks!

Video card: yes, CPU: no.
Here is the Manual:
Page 102 for video card replacement. Right after is processor replacement.
Your best processor is an i7-3520M dual core. Quad and dual core CPU models use a different motherboard. See page 28-29.
The dual core i7 will save you a bit of money and will still be a pretty strong upgrade.
I assume you already have an SSD but if not invest your savings in that or upgrading to 8 gigs of RAM at least.
