Pavillion Dv7
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I've downloaded the graphics driver from HP support (sp45618) for my HP-Pavilion-dv7-Entertainment-Notebook but games and movies dont seem to work smoothly.

Below are hardware ID's for my VGA, check if you can found a correct driver if above is not correct.

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0046&SUBSYS_163D103C&REV_02

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0046&SUBSYS_163D103C

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0046&CC_030000

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0046&CC_0300

Thank you

Hi:

You need to install the Intel HD graphics driver from your specific dv7's support and driver page.

There are hundreds of dv7 models, so that is the best I can do to help you unless you provide the full model number.

Hi,

Now ever since i've updated the drivers, my CPU usage goes to 100% when laptop is on battery whereas on power CPU usage is normal. Kindly tell me if this is linked with the VGA issue or am I facing some new issue with DV7.

I can give you the Product Key, if that could be of any help.

Hi:

Unfortunately, I do not have any idea what the problem could be.
