HP Pavilion m4 notebook pc
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Last week my notebooks VGA port stopped working. I am not able to connect it to any other device on VGA port. HDMI port works fine and can be connected.

Does VGA port has drivers ?

Do I have to install driver again?

where do I get them?

Hi @vishwas53 ,

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion m4 Notebook and connecting a monitor or TV with a VGA cord. Here is a link to show you how to connect a monitor and troubleshoot. The last link in this document would be the most help.

Have you tried to restart the Notebook with the VGA cable connected?

Have you tried a different cord?

You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.

When performing a System restore please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices including the VGA cable, as they can cause issues.

Thanks.
