Dear,

 

I have also hp 8440p but my fingerprint scanner is not working on windows 10. can you please explain than how could i activate fingerprint scanner ?

I'm also having this issue on an EliteBook 8470p that I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. When I did the initial setup for 8.1, I could configure the scanner. After upgrading, the capabilities suddenly disappeared and my uncle who is a member of the Geek Squad couldn't even figure it out.
