Welcome to the HP Support Community! I read your post about your HP 15 Notebook PC and seeing a line on the screen. Here is a document on how to connect to a monitor if you need it. When you connect it to a monitor do you see the same results?
Make sure all updates have been completed in the control panel or click the Windows key and start typing PC settings, then go to update.
Please let me know how this goes.

Please click “Accept as Solution ” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Thanks for getting back to me. It is either the LCD panel or the cable.
I would be happy to assist if needed as there are many models of HP 15 Notebooks, I would need the model number.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

Hey @Caitlynmarie115,
The display cable is 732066-001 page 20 of the manual, is the first thing I would replace to see if that fixes the line. The LCD panel is 732080-001, page 36.
I would also check the hinges, for stress or damage, as this could cause the same issue.
Please let me know.
Thanks.
