Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Pavilion HDX9300 Notebook PC has now Windows 10. To my great regret it freezes 100 times a day - at any event, at any application. Will you please be so kind as to instruct me what video driver should I install?

Hi,

You've got many posts for same question. This machine came with Vista its support page only has Vista drivers:

Please use this post only.

Good luck

Hi:

See if this works...Download and run this Vista graphics driver.  You will most likely get an unsupported operating system error.

This package provides the NVIDIA NB8E-GT VGA Driver for the supported notebook models and operating systems.

File name: sp38393.exe

Close out of any error windows.

Go to the device manager and click to expand the display adapters device category.   Click on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp38393.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

Then reboot.
