You actually can but you have to enable this option under the beats audio control panel. Look for the setting called Multistream.

I dont see that option or anything similar. I looked under volume, listening experience, recording experience, and advanced settings.

Under advanced settings, the very last option should be Multi-Streaming - with an enable/disable button.
I have a dv6t-7000 Select Edition.
If you do not have the option then you may need to contact HP and open a support ticket.

Weird, it's definitely not there. I wonder if it has anything to do with installing the dv6 driver on my Envy. After installing the driver, my control panel definitely changed (new options in listening tab), but there's no multistreaming option. I'll just use the original driver for now.

Strange. My Envy 15 has it with this driver. As for mising devices, see if they are disabled under control panel, sound. If you don't see them, right click and see if disabled devices are hidden. The driver shouldn't affect HDMI audio, as that is controlled by the video card, usually.

I belive I have found the actual problem it has nonthing to do with the drivers but it deals with windows itself.
What I did was go to control panel/ hardware and sound/ sound/ right-click speakers/ properties. Now click the tab that says Enhancements and tick Disable all enhancements then click ok. Again this solved my issue and shouldn't affect the Beats Audio (in fact it should actually work now).

Disabling that actually kills most of the Beats enhancements on reboot.
If you choose those options, you are enabling Windows to override Beats, whereas Beats would normally overide Windows.
Which still points to this as a Beats driver issue.
