It may be due to a few factors. The amp on my M6 would blow my eardrums out at full volume. Your laptop may not be as loud, so don't use the Loudness Equalization. That should almost double the volume. If you tried that already, also make sure that the program/app that you're listening from is maxed out on volume as well (Click on Volume Settings on the taskbar, and expand by clicking on Mixer to see all the programs using audio).
After that, check the loudness on headphones. If it's loud on headphones, but quiet on your laptop speakers, then the speaker amp on your particular laptop is not very powerful, and there's not much we can do for it with the Windows driver. Let me know if it worked.
If it does not work, post your laptop model number, and I'll check which sound chip is in it, and try to advise you again.

Sorry KGB999 i didnt see your response... Yea i am pretty savy with computers but i can see not as much as you.
I tried all those immediately.. Here is my product/ model num not sure which. II didnt change or enable any loudness. And my apps are at 100. I really wish i could turn it up a little more because it does sound really good. What i cant understand is its not as loud as the workaround that eliminates beats audio. Is it possible that the workaround just turns beats off but still keeps part of the hardware that uses beats active? Or is there no hardware or amp at all.?

Re: [Fix/Workaround] Beats Audio Volume Problem (leveling/random etc)
This solution gives me an idea. I just tried it and it did not seem to work, however would it be possible to mess around with those values and get beats audio to work properly? For instance here is some of what the lauren2.xml file contains:

Is it possible at all to play around with these values and actually get beats audio to work properly or am I just dreaming? The C:/Program Files/IDT/WDM folder contains a total of 7 XML files and all of them seem to contain the same values. So would fixing all of those do anything at all or is there no hope?

I found a workaround for that problem too. After uninstalling Beats, my laptop's speakers were way too quiet. Here is what I had to do to fix that:
1) Click the Windows start pearl and type "sound" - select "Change sound card settings."
2) Right click "Speakers" and select Properties.
3) Go to the Enhancements tab and check the Loudness Equalization box.
Your volume will be at a good level after this, but the Windows system sounds will be way too loud and might damage your speakers. To fix this, you need to do two separate things:
1) Click the speaker icon on the bottom right of your screen and open the Mixer. Turn your "System Sounds" down to about 5-10% (yes, that low) and set all the other volumes at 100%. This will lower all your Windows system sounds to an acceptable level except the sound it makes when you log into Windows from a reboot. I couldn't find a way to turn that sound down so I had to disable it entirely.
2) Click the Windows start pearl and type "sound" again. Select "Sound" from the list. Go to the Sounds tab and uncheck the box that says "Play Windows Startup sound" at the bottom.
That's a lot of work to fix HP's terrible audio system, isn't it? At any rate, I did it and it worked.
