I have an HP Photosmart printer Model C6180 and the ink is not waterproof...so printing photos is useless. What can I do about this?

I believe most inkjet printers don't make waterproof prints because inkjet ink is water-based. Some do, but your options are limited. According to this article from HP, using HP Advanced Photo Paper with HP 38 Pigment Ink Cartridges will make the prints waterproof. However, I don't think those ink cartridges work in your printer. Trying that type of photo paper might at least increase the water-resistance of your prints...it's something to try if you're desperate.

The same article linked above also offers helpful tips on preventing water damage to photos, and what to do if water exposure occurs.

If you are open to adding a type of sealant to your prints after they're printed, check out this article for steps to make your inkjet prints waterproof.
