I was looking to buy a used HP elitebook 840 g2 on eBay, and the 1080p model caught my eye. I looked at a data sheet for the laptop expecting it to be IPS, but it said it was an UWA screen. I've never heard of UWA, is it some kind of panel technology that only HP uses? Also, is the quality closer to TN or IPS?

Hi,
UWA is for Ultra Wide Angle: that is good and bad
(a) It is good because it has wider angle to view, normally it is IPS screen,
(b) It is bad: because in many cases, I don't want people can easily see my Excel $$$ numbers when I am working on.
Regards.
