Pavilion 15-n215TU
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Few days back,I ordered a 8gb RAM for my Hp pavilion 15-n215TU notebook. But yesterday, they asked me that which kind of RAM does it have? They said that DDR3L is better,as it suits even DDR3.But I want to get sure about this.

Please help me out on this thing. If anyone can confirm about the type of the memory,I'll be grateful.

First you said that my laptop has DDR3 but then you said "DDR3L-1600-MHz dual channel support/DDR3L-1600-MHz single channel support".So please can you explain on that?

I don't know much abour RAMs,so help.

Hi,

Normal DDR3 RAM uses 1.5V and DDR3L (L for low voltage) RAM uses 1.35V. Your machine can run both types but L RAM will give longer battery life between charge.
