I have a new notebook HP 255 G1. I've installed all drivers I've managed to find. The only one problem remains- I have this icon for WiFi - (The stairs with the yellow snowflake) , The laptop can show and detect networks BUT it CAN"T connect to any of them! It was not like that when I used ubuntu OS but now I have Win 7. When I press "connect" it shows "Windows was unable to connect to .... WiFi (the name of the network). It's something with the notebook, because only it has problems with this kind of connection. I use the notebook at home with a net cable and I have no problems, too. I've tried to get rid of the firewall but the problem remains...

PLEASE, HELP ME!!!!!

Hi:

I would try the latest driver directly from Mediatek (Ralink).

http://www.mediatek.com/_en/07_downloads/01_windows.php

You want to download and install the driver from the first grouping of wireless adapters listed.

You will need to fill out a name and e-mail address to download the file.

Hi:

What model wireless network adapter does your model have?

For W7 installations, you could use all of the drivers and software from the HP 455 G1.
