After installing win 7 I am down to only one error. The machine I am working on is:
Pavilion dv5-1200oe S/N {Removed for privacy}
I am recieving an error under USB Controllers :
Unknown device
Placed: Port_#0003.Hub_#0001
Driverversion - 6.1.7600.16385
Other computers seems to have that error related to the fingerprintdriver, but this model has no fingerprint unit. Can anybody tell me wich driver I am missing?

Hi,
Go into Device Manager, right click on the unknown device and select Properties. Click the Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from the dropdown box and post back with the details shown under Value.

Hi,
Was any other device connected to the notebook when you were installing Windows 7?
Right click this device and select Uninstall. Scan for Hardware changes and if the device re-appears, check if there's any more info under Hardware Ids.

Hello CH0D3. I understand you have some unknown devices in Device Manager.
You are most likely missing a driver. Have you tried installing both the HP Software Framework and HP Support Assistant. Then run the HP Support Assistant application. This will scan your system and attempt to install any missing drivers. After it performs the updates you should reboot your computer. Make sure to post the result.
It will also be helpful to have your notebook's product number. This document can show you where it is located.
Have a great day!
Please click the white star under my name to give me Kudos as a way to say "Thanks!"
Click the "Accept as Solution" button if I resolve your issue.
