Unfortunately this did not work. It did work at first but after running it for several hours it went back to the same thing. Light stays on.

Read back a few messages. The best fix appears to be disabling the IEMI in Device Manager. Rather crude and perhaps best described as a "work around". However, it seems to work for most, if not all users, with no adverse indications.

No official fix, indeed not even a comment has been forthcoming from MS, HP or Intel. So, I presume it's a foul-up and the manufacturers are keeping their heads down!!!!
