I have teh exact same problem just as mentioned above this sounds like it may be a chipset problem. Im going to try uninstalling the default drivers and installing the ones that are being recommended here..... <<<windows 7 upgrade guide for dv2000

I'll see if i can get my regular battery life back....

Apart from that everything else is working flawlessly...
