Go to leshcatlabs.net and make a support ticket. See if he can add support for your video cards.

If you have one of these cards you can use the official Windows 8 Driver (ATI+Intel) provided by HP.

"Radeon (TM) HD 6470M"
"Radeon (TM) HD 6490M"
"Radeon (TM) HD 6630M"
"Radeon (TM) HD 6750M"
"Radeon (TM) HD 6770M"
"Radeon (TM) HD 7450M"
"Radeon (TM) HD 7470M"
"Radeon (TM) HD 7690M"
"Radeon (TM) HD 7690M XT"

posting this sort of information doesn't do anybody any good, I know you mean well, however even though I have one of those listed cards (7690M XT) that driver is listed under your specific machine. Its NOT listed under my dv7t-6c00, even though I have one of those cards.

You need to be careful listing drivers, and make sure you post the name of the laptop they refer to.

People will downoad them and find they do not work or worse mess up their systems only because they see their card listed. and may not know how to go to HP driver support to look for their model laptop.

Right. Don't assume that your card will work if listed. I found a 7690m XT that does NOT work because the device id isn't in the inf.

@iimagma

I'm not sure what dv# you have but here is a link for some updated HP drivers for several laptops for W8. If you don't find one listed under your specific laptop in HP drivers you can try that one if nothing else works.

If that doesn't work, you can also go to leshcat and try his latest driver.

But its up to you.

Even though I have my W8 promo burned to DVD and my install key I am not going to install it right now, too many problems still need to be ironed out with this driver issue, and not just graphics. I;ll stay with W7 for the time being and wait to see if HP or AMD come up with a so;id workable driver for my specific card (7690m xt)that installs clean , works and doesn't need a mess of tweaks to get there.
