thus I recommend you use the windows 7 compatibility mode, which is what I'm using right now

I wonder why I cannot get things to work. I have a dv6-3000 with ATI4200 and HD5650 GPUs. Even though I log on as an admin and install the drivers in W7 mode, the 5650 shows in device manager next to an asterisk and a text "Cannot start the device".
I even went as far as to clead the registry from everything radeon and installed again but to no avail.

Hello every one!
I have dv7-6053er.
I have upgraded OS to windows 8 and then I had the problems with radeon HD 6770M.
I have looked at the forums and have found the sp59850.exe driver.
Now everything are working fine!
