Anyway it just has a small amount of info for that one value, so I'll just type it
0x0000f840 (63552)
I made a png of the thing, but have no way to stick it in here.
Ok, well when you are ready to do the Windows 8 thing and if your official drivers arent or brightness doesnt work, let me know. Mine is 0x0000940, but I can just as easy make a registry file for you as well.

@Dragooon123 @MalarKeY007 Have you tried my method? Yesterday I've installed Windows 8 again because I bought the upgrade license and this method simply works.

How to:
When Windows 8 starts, it will start onlythe the onboard card (4200). On Device Manager you will find the offboard card with an exclamation point. Do the following to solve this issue.
1 - Download this, but DO NOT install it yet. http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/catalystlegacywin8.aspx
2 - Go to Windows Update and download and install the 6370 driver. In the middle of the installation you are going to get a BSOD. This happens because of a conflict with the onboard card. But the driver is going to be installed on the system, that's why this step is necessary.
3 - After the BSOD, your PC is going to reboot. You will notice after when it boots that the screen is with a low resolution. That's beacuse the two cards are disabled. Go to Device Manager - Display Adapters - right click on the 6300M card and Update Driver Software. The driver is going to be installed in a few seconds. But still, it is not going to work.
4 - Install the file you downloaded before. You have to extract the .exe file and install at the same time. If you try do run the setup.exe file from the extract folder it will not work. I don't know why this happens but it just doesn't. Extract and install at the same time and you're fine. ->> That's Catalyst 12.6 Windows 8 Legacy for the 4200 card. After installing it you will notice the resolution of the screen is back to normal and that the 6370 video card is already functioning.
When you plug the HDMI cable you might have to scale the screen size on Catalyst. HDMI audio is going to be working too.

Otávio, you are brazilian right?
You need to see this PT-BR topic (Here on Adrenaline fórum). Maybe you can post this solution there and help other people?
Also, I trashed and corromped my Windows 8 twice today, trying to install these drivers. Another week I try to install with your method... Sorry, I'm really tired about this all.
I'm loosing my time and patience with this s.h.it.

I have an HP DV7-6199US notebook with an ATi Mobility 6770M switchable graphics card in it. I can't get the drivers to work in Windows 8 Pro. Can someone please help me? I'm sitting here tearing my hair out.

I have the exact same problem. I had a live chat session with HP support and they said they were working on new software to support switchable graphics. No estimate on completion time other than "soon." BTW, the USB 3.0 drivers, for some completly unknown reason, are bundled with the graphics adapter so your 3.0 slots are functioning as 2.0 slots as well.
