Hi:

What I recommend you do is to install a newer version of the HP System Event Utility, so it overwrites the error with newer files.

1.40

I have done this several times and find nothing useful since installing the same from the support and reovering the windows doesnot prevent from the prompt.  Thanks for the solution but it hadn't worked for me.

You're very welcome.

See if this works instead...

1) Uninstall The HP System Event Utility

   - right click on the Windows-Start-Logo

   - choose "Apps and Features"

   - look for HP System Event Utility in the list, click on it and then click Uninstall to initiate the uninstallation

2) Reinstall The HP System Event Utility

   - Download: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp101501-102000/sp101543.exe

   - Run the file and follow the installation process.

3) Reboot the PC
