Hi

I need to buy a wireless adapter for my HP Pavilion 15 Notebook and I'd like to know the company, model and configuration of the same.

Does HP have an online store in the UK where I can purchase this item?

Notebook PC details:

Model: HP Pavilion 15

Processor: AMD A10 5750 APU

RAM: 8GB

Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 8650G + 8600M

HDD: 1TB

System board: 1983 01.15

System BIOS: F.33

OS: Windows 8.1

Thanks

Hi @Metal_Head ,

The snapshot shows that you are connected to an unidentified network with limited capabilities.

To troubleshoot the wireless you need to remove the Ethernet cable.

If you right click on the Network and sharing center , disconnect the connection you have and  connect to your router.

Thanks.

Hey @Metal_Head ,

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read about your HP Pavilion 15-e001ax Notebook not showing my wifi  while connected through the Ethernet Cable. It will only show you one connection at a time and will not show the Wireless connect while connected via Ethernet.

Here is a document to troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet Windows 8, if you need it.

The HP Support Assistant will help reinstall any drivers and software that was on the Notebook at the time of build.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

This is regarding my other question at: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Wireless-Internet-Home-Networking/Error-quot-Wireless-devices-not-found...

Hi @Mrstenter

Thanks for your reply but the troubleshooting was of no use. Even when I unplug the ethernet cable, no WiFi networks are shown (see image, thisi s different from earlier when there was an error message under Wireless devices).

The WiFi light on F12 has now gone white from red/dark orange, after installing updates from HP. This happened between now and when I posted the question.

Meanwhile, can you give the Wireless Adapter's model name, it maybe needed? Thanks.
