Wireless Card upgrade

I am using this BIOS. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54001-54500/sp54024.exe

After I do the DUMP there is no file E62F9F2F-4895-4AB5-8F1A-399D0D9C6B90_2_776.ROM in the DUMP folder. 

I have E6DB... files but no E62....

How do I figure out which file to modify?

What laptop do you have? It works for a Dv6-2000 series and maybe for some other laptops. Have a look at here: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/forums/25-BIOS-Mods?s=e9fde11c0178e8b8591b46c023ccfa71

I would ask over there first. It depends on the BIOS in the laptop so they may help you better than me.

At our school we had the same problem with other type of laptops. We wanted to switch to 5 GHz cards, but other cards would not work. We decided to never buy HP laptops again.
