Can you identify the wireless module with a brand and part number? ( check the device manager)

Use Windows own system restore to return the operating system to the condition it was in on a date before the problem began. Doing this will not delete or affect your files or any type of data you have saved.

Which operating system is installed?

Best regards,
erico

That was not what I asked to be identified. In the Device Manager, if there is a driver installed you can see which brand and model the adapter is.  In the following example you will see what I mean. The example is from my current HP product loan Envy17-3002ea.

Your adapter could be any of the wireless adapters shown in the following images. The images are from the available drivers for your notebook (Windows 7). As you can see, there is a long list of possibilities, excluding bluetooth device drivers or broadband drivers. That is why I need you to be specific.

If you don't know how to access the Device Manager, No problem.  See the following images. Click on the start button and follow the advice in the image.
