The simplest solution is to put the laptop into sleep and wait until the power led starts flashing and/or the wireless led turns off. After that just resume the computer from sleep and the wireless led will turn white/blue. No need to install any aditional button driver or anything else. This worked on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 on my Pavilion G6-2220SQ. You will have to do this everytime you start/restart Windows.

OK, found a work around in Windows 10!
Insert installation media of old Windows 7.
Wait while disc boots, when first screen comes up, press FN + F12 and Wifi Button Turns White
Shut down Laptop, remove Win 7 installation media and boot back into Windows 10
Strange, but IT WORKS !!
