I have connected the logitech receiver to one USB port but the headset is not connecting.
Also i am not even able to get bluetooth connectivity either
Thanks to anyone who can help ...... I am new on this forum and not an advanced user. I am not even sure whether this notebook supports bluetooth (the blue light on f12 key lights up)

Hi Ram38,
Here is a document for No Sound from the Speakers (Windows 7) that may resolve your headset issue. It gives steps for checking with a USB connection, you would just be looking for the Headset instead of speakers.
I've got my fingers crossed.
Good Luck,

Hi Ram38,
I understand that your Logitech wireless headset H800 will not connect with your Pavilion G6 Notebook. I will try my best to help you resolve this issue.
In this document for Troubleshooting Audio Problems with External Speakers, Headphones, and HDMI Sound Devices are steps that may resolve this issue.
I hope this helps, please let me know how it goes.
Thank you,

Thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately the steps do not resolve my problem. Maybe i did not state my problem clearly.
when i plug in the logitech receiver associated with the WIRELESS headset, H800, there is no connection between theheadset and the receiver (the green light on the headset is continuously blinking and connection is not established) Since i am trying to use a wireless headset, the instructions regarding the cables do not apply.
Also can you please tell me whether the notebook i have can connect with bluetooth. I do not find anybluetooth in the device manager--network cards. Do i need to use an external blutooth device like a dongle and if so can you suggest one
Please do try to help
Thanks again

Hi Ram38,
I am sorry that information did not help you. This link for How to Determine If Your PC Has Bluetooth Capability will explain how to check if your laptop has a Bluetooth built in or if you need an external one.
Here are some documents for Bluetooth.
Understanding Bluetooth Wireless Technology this document explains how Bluetooth's work.
Setting Up Bluetooth Connections (Windows 7) this document explains how to set up a Bluetooth connection.
Using Bluetooth Devices (Windows 7) this document explains how to use the Bluetooth Headset.
Hopefully this information will help get the headset working.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,

Hello Advance 23,
Thank you for the detailed instructions and the attached documents references. I realize now that my notebook does not have built-in bluetooth and i need to get and instal a bluetooth dongle which i will do.
However, my question regarding the wireless headset still remains. Can you please guide me on that also. Do I need to send you any more information regarding that problem. To repeat, my wireless headset, logitech H800 is not linking with the USB receiver which i am plugging into one of the USB ports (i have tried all the three USB ports on my notebook) without success. When i plug in the USB receiver, the device manager recognises and displays "logitech headset" but there is no connection established. Hope you will solve this also for me so that if i need any additional hardware, i can go ahead and get that also
Many thanks in advance for your help
