Hello,

To resolve this issue on Windows 7, please download and install the following Qualcomm Atheros QCA9000 Series Wireless LAN Driver:

No luck at all! I saw that the card has only one cable connected. could this be the issue? But the wifi worked fine on win10.

Thanks for your return,

What is the exact model of your laptop (e.g. 5ES85EA)?

To find this product number P/N: this document.

So the concern may be that the driver and the wireless module have a compatibility issue with Windows 7.

Alternative solution: Please use the Microsoft Upgrade Tool to upgrade to Windows 10 with the latest version available below.

The model is HP 650 (s/n: 5CB3031GFG) and HP provides drivers for win7 64 bit but nothing seems to work for the wifi. I will install a USB wifi module and try with Windows update. If anyone thinks of another solution I'll be happy to hear it.
