Hello,

I am trying install Win XP Pro SP3 dual boot on existing Win 7 64 Home Premium HP pavilion. I read through Daniel's guide on this forum but I cannot find the SATA drivers for Ivy Bridge chipset . Where can I find the XP SATA driver for IDE controller Intel(R) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI controller? Thanks.

Hi:

Below is the link to the drivers you need.

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21408&lang=eng&OSVersion=&DownloadTyp...

2nd download is 32 bit.

For notebooks you need:

Intel(R) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller

For desktops you need:

Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your help with the SATA drivers. Do you know of where I can find xp Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Drivers for the series 7 chipset? Currently the version I am using for win 7 64 is sp55970.exe. Thanks.

Gosh, I cannot believe how many times Intel keeps changing the download links!

Here you go...second file listed is for XP 32 bit.

Hello,

I am searching for AHCI drivers for my notebook running 32bit XP which uses HM76 chipset.

I spent over 8 hours and went over various websites but couldn’t find the inf/drivers.

Will you help me to find drivers for the following?

Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family 4 port Serial ATA Storage Controller - 1E01 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E01

Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family 2 port Serial ATA Storage Controller - 1E09 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E09

Hi:

I have zipped them up and attached them below.

Look under the Attachments note.

If you are using a USB FDD to install the driver, you should select the Intel(R) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller from the list, NOT the Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller.

Update the 4 Port controller if you have installed XP in IDE mode and want to change it to AHCI mode.

The second one is for desktop PC's.
