I'm wanting to a add a second PCIE M2 SSD Drive into the second spare slot in my notebook.

What is the maximum capacity drive that can be fitted? It seems HP can supply a maximum size of 512Gb, but a 1TB is more cost effective, if that is possible. I assume the limitation (if any) is the bios?

I had a SATA 512Gb secondary drive fitted, but the cable is faulty, and no one seems to be able to, or wants to, supply a replacement.

Hi,

Page 22: Hard Drive Hardware Kit, includes: 848231-001 - hard drive cable comes included in the kit

There is no limit on capacity, you can put 1TB M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe SSD.

Thanks for the reply.

I'll look at a 1Tb drive if thats the case.

As for the cable, yes, I see the cable is available in the kit, but I only want the cable, and not the whole kit.

Surely the cable is available seperately?

Yes it is not spared separately.

You're welcome.
