My pc wouldn't access Google Chrome so I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall but it wouldn't install. My internet explorer still can access the internet. Also I tried to update to windows 8.1 and it wouldn't do that it either. Any help is appreciated.

Hi @ahuntlady ,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
It is a great place to find answers and tips!
For you to have the best experience in the HP forum I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide Learn How to Post and More
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
I grasp that you are unable to access Google Chrome so you uninstalled it but now you are unable to reinstall Google Chrome.
You are also unable to update to Windows 8.1.
What happens when you try to install Google Chrome or update to Windows 8.1?
Have you tried running the Windows troubleshooter?
Have you ran the HP Support Assistant ?
I suggest you try a HP PCs - Refresh Your PC to Resolve Problems (Windows 8).
Have you checked for viruses or malware?
MS Malicious Software Removal Tool
This is not a recommendation but many people have also used Malwarebytes with success.
If you still have the issue , I would do a recovery back to factory.
HP PCs - Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 😎
There is an option to backup your personal files to prevent data loss if you have not yet done one.
HP PCs - Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 😎.
If you are still experiencing an issue after doing the recovery please contact HP support for assistance.

Thanks for the info....when i try to install chrome it just keeps on saying download for hours. And when I try to download windows 8.1 it says there was an error and it couldn't install it. But I will try the other things and see what I can do.
