I am using Windows XP Pro and suddenly I'm getting a message: missing Base System Device. Using the technique given to another user who had a similar problem, I determined that the device ID is:

pci\ven_15ad&dev_0740&subsys_074015ad&rev_10\3&61aaa01&0&3f

Wherer can I find this driver? Thanks, much!!

The vendor is VMWare. Device is VMWare VMCI Bus Device

How about identifying your notebook?

Thank you! I now know where to look!

Unfortunately, I don't know what laptop this is from. It's an image in VMWare on MacBookPro. All I know is, that at the time the company gave me the image, it was an HP Compaq laptop. Don't remember the model though. If there's somewhere I can look, let me know and I'll get that back to you. I'm more of a Mac person than a PC person so you'll have to be precise. 🙂

Thanks again for your help!

Interesting. It isn't necessary now that I know what you have is a virtual notebook operating system. Have fun with it.
