Hello,

 

Please I need your help.

 

i can't access bios set-up of 840 G1 notebook.The  IT administrator, and I  dont know/setup the bios password.

Hi,

 

Unfortunately,  business machines such as Probooks or Elitebooks have more stringent security than consumer models - they don't produce 'halt codes', the password cannot be derived from the Serial No. and the code is stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC cell will not reset the password in this case.

 

If you Contact HP Business support they should be able to send you a customised SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

The HP support solved the problemein 24 h.

 

the sent me the a customised SMC.bin file to reset the Pwd.

I am having the same problem, Enter Administrator password on a HP2000.  my system disabled code is 51943645, can you please give me a code to unlock my system. Thanks.
