Hi I have an Hp G62 b60Sd laptop.

 I found a Bios Setting SVM support, what does it do when activated, and is it usefull to activate?

It is useful if you have an AMD processor capable of virtualization.


SVM stands for secure virtual machine.

This was nicely explained by forum Pro Member Cyclops   in his post in a thread.

SVM?  I've had the DV7 for five years and for the first time today I noticed the "SVM Support" setting in the bios;  I thought that SVM ("Secure Virtual Machine") stood for "Support Vector Machine," or "Scanning Voltage Microscopy" and I just ignored it!  I guess that SVM has many meanings!
