I have HP Probook 4530s. But I cannot discover whether it has bluetooth or not. It runs on Windows 7 Home Basic. I went to the device manager and it shows generic bluetooth adapter there.
There is a yellow mark on it. I really need help on this.
Does my notebook have bluetooh? If yes then how do I activate it. If not, where can I get a new bluetooth adapter?
Thanks.

Have you taken a look in the Device Manager to see if a Bluetooth is recognized as being installed but is lacking a driver?

It probably does have bluetooth. The trick is figuring out which on amongst the many listed in the driver download section under network adpter.

Install and use the HP Connection manager software that is also in the download section. It will give you the ability to control network connections, including Bluetooth. Here is some detailed information on the HP Connection Manager.

Best regards,

erico

Hi:

On your model, you would install the bluetooth software and driver for the same model wireless adapter you have in your computer.

You can find the model wireless adapter you have, by going to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters section, and you will find the models of the wired and wireless adapters listed there.

For example:  If you have a Ralink wireless network adapter, you would install the Ralink Bluetooth Software and driver for it.

If you have an Atheros wireless network adapter, you would install the Atheros Bluetooth Software and driver for it.
