Go back to your Device driver and look at your Bluetooth - see if you can find out what kind of Bluetooth you have. It will be Broadcom or something different....
Then go here:
Software & Driver Downloads - HP Pavilion g6-1201tx Notebook PC
Select Category Driver - Network
and look for the Bluetooth driver for your computer.
Download and install it.
Drop down to Catelgory Software - Solutions
and look for HP Connection Manager
Download and install it.
- Reboot your notebook.
Take a look at this document:
Setting Up Bluetooth Connections with Windows 7
Good Luck!

Sorry, I will be more specific.
First, you must find out which Bluetooth driver you need. Your computer has a specific type of Bluetooth device in it - you must download and install the correct driver for that device. Each brand of Bluetooth device has a different name, so most of the time it is easy to find out which is which.
- Turn on your Wireless
- Open Control Panel > icon view > Device Manager > Bluetooth Radios >
Next, Look at what you have listed under Bluetooth and determine which bluetooth device you have - for example, it might be named "Broadcom" or "Ralink"...
Open this link:
Software & Driver Downloads - HP Pavilion g6-1201tx Notebook PC - Driver - Network
- From the list in the link, find and select the appropriate driver for your computer. The main part of the name will match the main part of the name in your Device Manager Bluetooth list.
- Download the installation package to your computer.
- NOTE the name and the location - the *.exe file will likely save to "Downloads “
Install the Software / Driver installation package: If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package(s) and “double-click” to install, else Right-Click, Select ‘run as Administrator’ and install.
