I recently was invited to install a new bios update on my HP Envy 15.

After installing Windows 8.1 is starting up and the detected bios version is Insyde F.56

However before updating I had a dual boot directed by Grub2 and I'm now unable to run

the Linux versions installed in separete partitions on the same drive.

This bios version seems me to prevent loading Grub2.

Can you help me to solve???

That's just what I did before :

1° running boot-repair from a liveUSB / recommended repair /

2° press Esc during booting / press F9 / select Ubuntu in Boot menu / start Ubuntu / run boot-repair / recommended repair /

In both cases Grub is not loading and windows is starting up.
