Hi,

In Device Manager you will see the webcam listed under Imaging Devices.

However for the error - turn on your webcam. You just have to reinstall the Cyberlink YouCam Software (this goes with webcam driver inbuilt).

Check the below link to download and install the Cyberlink YouCam Software:

Hi,

The solution provided in the previous post was about the webcam builtin to your HP Notebook. However you mentioned now that it's a Lexmark x422 webcam driver you need then I would suggest you to contact Lexmark Support on 1 (800) 539-6275 for further assistance.

hi

it is a webcam and built in to my laptop but when i go on imaging devices it says lexmark x422 im totally  confused any ideas

Hi,

First make sure there is no external devices or cables connected to your Notebook except the Ac-Power Cord.

Then from Device Manager, under Imaging Device - Right Click on the lexmark x422 and click on Uninstall/Delete and then restart your Notebook and Install the Youcam Software from the previous post and check if that works out.

I'm having the same problem but I haven't found any advice that helps. I've re-installed theCyberlink Youcam software, pulled the battery and had the device manager scan for new hardware, there is still no webcam appearing in the list of devices. I have a CQ61-410US Presario, I can see the webcam and microphone at the top of my display. Is there anything else I can do or is the webcam broken?
