I just reformated recently. Wasn't having trouble, just felt it was time. After fresh install of Windows 7, this started to pop up, e.g. after installing Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver. I tried downloading again but I don't think it installed correctly. Looking in the device manager it tells me this: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52) I'm getting this for pretty much everything that re quires one (digitally signed drivers)... Also a problem is preventing Windows troubleshooter from starting. I can't even update windows, says service not running... Is there a driver I need to install first before hand? Not sure which ones I need, I never had this problem with any of my computers...

Okay so it's fixed... upgraded to Windows 10. Everything works flawlessly now, just thought you should know.
I would still like to know why I had this problem. I'd be happy to hear your thoughts ...

I bought it retail in a store. I never had any problems with any of my many platforms desktops, laptops, or other discs, only this HP... Is there a driver I need for this to work? I don't have the installation disc this may have came with. I'm using Windows Home Premium 64bit.
It's brand new and authenticated genuine.
Okay so I think I'm able to download without a hitch by disabling sig auth on startup pressing f8 but without doing so I'd still have problem and I shouldn't have to disable everytime. So whenever I restart I'd have to reinstall. Whatever I downloaded will be gone. Also I'm still not able to update Windows. Please don't give up so easily, I need you!
Also I remembered while I was reformatting it gave me a message saying, "Windows setup could not configure windows on this computers hardware." So what I did was shift+fn+f10 and typed in cmd prompt c:\windows\system32\oobe; msoobe to finish install.
