driver downloads for pavilion dv4000- win xp

I had to go to the old backup hp. pavilion dv4000 windows xp home edition and just found out its no longer supported on hp site.. i am looking for everything i can get for upgrade and also recovery did a new xp down load from disk but most of drivers are missing need graphics/ audio.. and plug and play features back also wifi wont work anymore or bluetooth. i will never have geek squad fix anything smarter than a toaster ever again.. thx

What is the full model number or product number of your dv4000?

The product number can be normally found on the same sticker as the serial number.

There are hundreds of different dv4000 model variations...some have Intel hardware, some have AMD hardware, and they would require different drivers.

Also posting the hardware ID's for the device that need drivers will help immensely.

To find the hardware ID, you have to be running XP SP2 or SP3.

Click on each device needing a driver (the ones with the little yellow ? marks next to them).

Then click on the Details tab at the top of the device window.

Post the string of characters you see listed.  Most of them will begin with PCI\VEN.
