Pavilion 15-p229tx AMD A10
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi,

I just bought my Pavilion 15-p229tx AMD A10-5745M. (Non-OS)

I have problem about the driver, because the seller didn't provide me.

So i tried to download those driver from HP official website.

 

Even choose the exact product type, but they only provide driver base on Intel version. I can't find the AMD's driver base (specially for graphics, pci drivers).

 

Is there anybody can help me ?

The drivers from this model should work for yours.  Don't use the BIOS or firmware files though.

Few driver i downlod from hp official websitte, some from others. Because HP not provide the correct driver for my laptop. They only provide the intel's base driver. In other hand i have same type but on AMD.

 

i only found this : http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/7486459/model/7598...

But those drivers only for intel processor, not AMD.

 

Even thought i have the complete driver now, i don't have any question mark anymore in my device manager list. But still the monitor not look sharp enough, my wallpaper still blurry, still something wrong with the display driver.

 

Jezzz....why hp not support their customer properly ? always confusing everytime !!!

Hi:

 

My recommendation would be to see if this graphics driver works from a HP business class notebook with pretty much the same hardware as yours.

 

If you see a Microsoft Basic Display Adapter listed in the device manager under the display adapters device category, you are definitely missing the graphics driver which would be why the display looks terrible to you.
