Here is the Solution.

The issue is caused by Link State Power Management which is used to save power usage of PCI Express.

Go to Control Panel -> Power Options ->click on  'Change Plan Settings' for current plan -> Change Advanced power Settings -> PCI Express -> Link State Power Management

Set it to 'Off' or 'Moderate Power Savings'

Repeat these settings for all power plans

I have a HP beats laptop and have had the problem on average 3 times daily and always loose whatever I am working on.I have had the machine just 18 months and already have had to fit a new hard drive. Not nly that but my Photosmart printer died after 18 months and the new printer, Envy 5536 has to be reconfigured after each "blue screen" event.

HP products are unreliable and the company is ignoring these problems. I have 2 colleagues with laptop problems and we re all binning them CRAP !!!!
