Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number

Case number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately. Thanks.

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your

HP Pavilion g6-2200 Notebook and the error code : 0x0000185 display. First, try performing a hard reset.

When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

Here is a link to computer won't start for Windows.


Do you hear the Fans? If yes, try to connect to a monitor to see what happens.


Here is a Video that might help. It shows you how to reseat the HDD, which sometimes helps

If that does not help, try tapping F2 key go to Diagnostics then run the Hard drive & Memory test.

I have tried everything but reseating HDD. The diagnosis gives me these sets of numbers
UBQC7T- 6MD7PP - MFPWWJ - 60S603
Please help
No I do not have the recovery disks. And yes I should still be under warranty. This went to my niece who was vary I'll with cancer. She is now recovering.

If can only find the receipts. And I could not wait for a manager to pet me know on the price of replacement the HDD WITH OR without op. Sys. Win 8. Or recovery disk. Thank f9r prompt response. .
We're happy so far wit has HP. SO maybe a new one is in ordler. Thanks.

Yes. Ive tried that m without the monitor. And it gives me the bigger set of numbers. Techs al have established it as a failed aA HDD. Now 8 need to get a set of recovery diso. And a HDD. AND WE should be good. Thanks you .
