Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

iam install  all driver combletly and software to fingerprint and it shaw massege ( the fingerprint reader is not connect )
pleas help me

Welcome to HP Forum, I'll be glad to help you.

 

I understand that you're using anElitebook 8440p with windows 7(32 bit) OS. and you're facing issues using fingerprint reader. I also see that you're getting an error: the fingerprint reader is not connected.

 

Please follow the below sets to try to fix it.

1. check if the validity sensor is present under Device manager>Biometric>Validity sensor.

2. Reinstall the Validity sensor drivers. click here to download the driver. 

  Note: please check the OS version before you download the driver. you might have to restart the system once the driver is installed

3. Reinstall the HP Protecttools Security Manager. click here to download the driver. configure it according to the onscreen instructions.
