how do i find something that i sent to the trash bin?

I am going to assume the icon is no longer on your desk top and you're running Windows 7.

 

 Click on the "Folder" option in the tool bar, in that page from the list in the left column click on "Desk Top"

 

All the desk top icons will be there including the trash bin icon, click on the trash bin to open the recycle folder.

 

 You may individually right click on each item where it will give you the option to restore an item. OR

 

 In the heading bar in will give you the option to restore all items.

 

 OR you can just drag the file to where ever you like to remove it from the recycle bin.
