Hi,
Are you seeing a warning like 'Primary (internal) Battery (601)'? If so, this actually refers to your notebooks main battery, not the RTC cell. Further information on this can be found on the document Here.
As a double check, you can always download and run the stand-alone battery test utility available on the page below and see if this reports a problem with your battery.
