HOw do I open the CD drive on this computer? I am not very tech savvy but I thought I would figure this out at least?

Hello jesmat, welcome to the HP Forums.

I would like to help you with opening the CD driver. However, when I look on the spec's page for your notebook it does not list an optical drive as a feature of that notebook.

This would lead me to the conclusion that you don't have one. You should be able to check for sure if you do or not by going into Device Manager.

If you do have one, the button to open it is on the same side as the drive. This is found in the User's Guide.

I hope this helps.
Thank you for posting on the HP Froums.

Hi, @Impossiblegirl

If you have the same model, then as stated in my first post it's not listed on the spec's page. You can go to this link: HP Troubleshooting, input the product number and navigate to the spec's page for your notebook to check.

I bought the same the laptop from walmart with the tag stating it has dvd/dvr.  It does not.  So frustrated.  Feel like I got scammed.  My laptop has the dvd port, it pulls out about an 1/8", but don't want to jar it loose and strip the plastic gears.  No eject button, nothing in the drives.  Hate to complain online, but as it stands, I will never buy another HP again.  I will stick with other brands that give what they sell.
