Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are looking to get a passcode and technical support.

Not to worry, I will be glad to help.

May I know the issue you are facing?

When are you prompted for the passcode?

May I know the product number of your computer? Click here. Please do not share the serial number of your computer.

If you could elaborate or explain the issue you are facing, I will be glad to assist you.

Thanks for the reply, none of our phone support representatives require a passcode. If your computer is not shutting down. Please run the power troubleshooter available in the control panel and let me know how it goes. Make sure the BIOS and chipset drivers are updated on your computer for which you can run HP Support Assistant. Click here. i5 is a processor and not the model of the computer.

For assistance in finding the model number of your computer, please refer to this HP Article. Please do not share the serial number of your computer.

Let me know how it goes.
