please can someone help me to remove the hp recommended power plan as I dont want it. Thanks

Hi,

 

Please try the following steps (Windows 7):

 

1. Click Start,

2. Click Control panel,

3. Click Power Options,

4. Click "Create a power plan".

 

You can create one for yourself or click another plan, this will remove the HP plan

The better and more permanant method is to open Command Prompt and type "powercfg list" and it will show you a list of all your powr plans.

Then type "powercfg -delete 88888888-8888-8888-8888-888888888888" replaceing the 8's with the corrosponding GUID that it lists for you.

If you make a mistake it will say "The power scheme, subgroup or setting specified dose not exist." otherwise it will return nothing on completion as shown below.
