We'll for some reason I was unable to downgrade using the windows 7/downgrade option in windows 10. I kept getting message saying that I had an administrator account I needed to get rid of, but I only had one account enabled on the computer...smh. I ended up backing up my information and doing a dreaded factory reset.

Already fix this problem, now I can use 3G connect in win10,

After extract driver to SWSetup folder, enter thatConnection manager  folder and found 02 files: hpcm.msi and HPCMSetup.exe, right click on them, chose propeties, and choise run in compatiblity with window 7 (not windows 8, I donot know why it not work.), select: Ok and run the hpcm.msi in Run as administrator for set up.

After setup goto C: Programe files (x86)/Hewlett-Packard/HP Connection Manager, set 03 files:

-HPConnectionManager.exe

-GoWireless.exe

-HPGoWireless.exe

for compatible with win7.

Ok weldone, and enjoy your connect.

Guys,

I had the same problem but solved it.  Some of the help came from “hungdq3” post but I just added the missing instruction and done it differently.

  1. Download SP53068 (Gobi 2000 driver) + SP53394 (HP Connection Manager v4)
  2. Enabled secret administrator account (net user administrator /active:yes)
  3. Login using the administrator account - This important as the installation will be BLOCKED
  4. Install SP53394
  5. Under C:\SWSETUP\SP53394, locate hpcm.mci and HPCMSetup.exe and change the compatibility to windows 7
  6. Run hpcm.mci to install the Connection Manager
  7. Under Program File (x86)\Hewlett-Packard/HP Connection Manager, locate the following files and set the compatibility to Windows 7:
    1. Gowireless
    2. HPGoWireless
    3. HPCOnnectionManager
  8. The HP Connection Manager will be installed now. Open it but don’t do anything yet. If you try to use it, it will tell you that there is no driver installed.
  9. Install SP53068
  10. Under C:\SWSETUP\SP53068, locate Qualcomm folder and run the “GobiInstaller” to install the driver.
  11. Logout from the administrator account and login using the user account
  12. Locate and open the HP Connection Manager and setup the correct APN
  13. ENJOY!!!

Hello, the procedure worked fine but when Windows 10 was upgraded to version 1511 (build SO 10586.3) wrote that the program "connection maanager" was not compatible with the operating system and removed. It has some good idea? Worth a try with this? Hp connection manager 5.0.5.1 Rev.A (15 September 2015) - sp72899
